  91. Thank you for your interest in WinPrice.  You will find this utility to
  92. be extremely helpful in making day-to-day decisions involving purchases
  93. of items where it is unclear which alternative offers the best value.

  95. As an example, which should you purchase - liter bottles of cola for
  96. $5.29 for four liters or quart bottles for $1.19 each?  WinPrice will
  97. quickly show the best buy to be the quart bottles. They're a little over
  98. 6 cents cheaper per quart than the liter bottles.

  100. While you could do this calculation on your regular calculator, it would
  101. involve many more key presses PLUS the need to remember or look up the
  102. fact that there are 0.94634 liters in a quart. WinPrice takes care of
  103. all the metric - English conversions as well as intermediate conversions
  104. and displays the answer in terms of the most "sensible" unit in your
  105. choice of English or metric systems.

  126. If your package included OWSETUP.EXE on the disk, simply run this
  127. program from within Windows and follow the instructions.

  129. If you have downloaded PRICE.ZIP (from CompuServe) or PRICE_10.ZIP from
  130. another BBS, or have otherwise acquired WinPrice without the
  131. accompanying OWSETUP.EXE installation program, simply unzip (using
  132. PKUNZIP.EXE or similar de-archiving utility) the .ZIP file into its own
  133. directory.  Then, from Windows' FileManager, drag the file WINPRI10.EXE
  134. onto the open Program Manager group in which you wish the utility to
  135. reside.  Windows will automatically install WinPrice in this group and
  136. the WinPrice icon will appear in this group.

  138. To use WinPrice, simply double-click its icon.  On line help is
  139. available should you have any difficulties in using WinPrice.

  144. A registered user of any Open Windows program is entitled to a full
  145. refund of their registration fee if they are not satisfied with the
  146. program they have registered. Send a letter to Open Windows requesting a

  158. necessary support files. The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  159. provide personal computer users with quality software without high
  160. prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to continue to
  161. develop new products.  If you find this program useful and continue to
  162. use WinPrice 1.0 after the 30-day trial period, you must make a
  163. registration payment of $9.95 plus $3.00 S&H to Open Windows.  The
  164. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one computer at
  165. any one time.  You must treat this software just like a book.  An
  166. example is that this software may be used by any number of people and
